The Teacher Training programme for the Diploma in the Montessori Method of Education, conducted by the MMI Group, is designed for parents, teachers, aspiring teachers, or any individual associated with early childhood development. The course focuses to enhance the skill set required for better parenting, teaching and to be a contributing member of the society. Trainees under this programme receive extensive knowledge of early childhood development and are awarded a highly acclaimed diploma by MODERN MONTESSORI INTERNATIONAL (LONDON) upon successful completion of the course. Our trainees are well placed in prestigious schools globally. Modes Of Study
Regular Programme
The regular batches commence in the first week of April and October. We also facilitate modular batches, where one can join the regular course at the beginning of any of the 8 modules.
Duration:
Full Time: 6 months: Classroom training -300 hours.
Internship -200 hours
Distance Learning Programme
The distance learning batches commence in the first week of January and July and this is conducted only from Gurugram Head Office. Examinations are controlled by MMI London and MMI Singapore and are held in March and September every year.
Distance Learning: 9 months
Objectives of the Programme
The course aims to develop students with a high level of professional competence as teachers of the Montessori Method of Education to guide children aged 2.5 to 6 years.
- A strong foundation in Montessori principles and philosophy, and a basic understanding of child psychology.
- In-depth knowledge of the Montessori curriculum, and appreciation and understanding of the teaching aids developed by Dr Maria Montessori.
- Knowledge of the Montessori environment and the role of a Montessori directress/director.
